Dingaleshwar Swamiji Considers Independent Run for Dharwad LS
Dharwad: Fakira Dingaleshwar Swamiji, known for his vocal stance on various socio-political issues, has hinted at a potential entry into politics by contesting from the Dharwad Lok Sabha constituency. Criticizing Union Minister Pralhad Joshi and accusing him of bias and injustice towards the Lingayat community, the Swamiji disclosed that devotees have urged him to run as an independent candidate.
Speaking to the media following a meeting with supporters in Dharwad on Tuesday, the Swamiji revealed that devotees have expressed a desire for him to follow the footsteps of Swamijis who have ventured into politics in North India. He emphasized that he would carefully consider all suggestions before making a final decision regarding his candidacy. The Swamiji assured that his commitment to fighting for the rights and welfare of the people would remain steadfast.
The Swamiji conveyed that he plans to announce his decision on contesting the election in Bengaluru soon.
